Standard Group started its garment and apparel manufacturing journey in 1984 under the corporate operations of The Civil Engineers Limited. After the Jute Industry, it was the thriving period for the neo-industrial revolution in Bangladesh.
In 1969, The Civil Engineers Ltd. was established by two newly graduate professionals from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). As a construction-based company, The Civil Engineers Ltd. earned many awards and recognitions at a national level. While the clothing revolution was emerging out in the economy in mid-80s, Engr. Mosharraf Hussain and Engr. Atiqur Rahman took a big leap towards joining the garments industry.
Today, Standard Group stands as one of the leading garment manufacturers in Bangladesh.
Engr. Mosharraf Hussain and Engr. Atiqur Rahman enlightened their professional career in the field of civil engineering and started company THE CIVIL ENGINEERS LTD. of Standard Group – Construction Division.
Standard Garments Industries Ltd. Incorporated as one of the country’s Pioneer Garments manufacturer and Exporter specialized in woven area products: Outer Wear, Top and Bottom item.
Quilting facilities put in operation in own factory premises to cater the increasing customers demand.
Polyethylene pack manufacturing plant installed to meet and ensure smooth and steady supply of poly bag for Standard Group Garments Divisions.
